That is one of our main goals, to encourage good people to run for office. In each district, for each office, if the good people didn’t manage to get a good candidate on the ballot or didn’t agree on a certain individual to write-in their name, then Adam Gaza is the next best option. It sends a powerful political message and is easier to remember. We hope there would be no need to use Adam Gaza after the 2024 elections, but because of the dynamics of the electoral process, we know that for many offices on the ballot in 2024 (in the primaries and general elections), there won’t be a candidate worth voting for, so in these cases, write-in Adam Gaza.
(See the separate explanation for the Presidential elections toward the end below)
Remember, there’s always nuance, and every office on your ballot should be evaluated independently. Contact us for help if you need guidance.
For our purposes, there are 3 categories of candidates:
First: The rare candidate/incumbent who is supportive of Palestinian human rights and dignity.
Second: The candidate/incumbent who have a one-sided position of supporting Israel despite the genocide and doesn’t speak up against the atrocities being committed or call for ceasefire.
Third: The candidate/incumbent who is one-sided for Israel, but also publicly dehumanize Palestinians, repeat fake stories to foment hate against Palestinians, defend Israel’s atrocities, etc.
An example of the third category is a Florida Republican Congressman who served in the Israeli military and came to work on Capitol Hill one day wearing the Israeli military uniform. Think about that, a sitting (elected) United States Congressman came to work on Capitol Hill wearing the military uniform of a foreign country. He also supported genocide by saying something to the effect that Gaza will be a parking lot soon.
Of course you don’t want to vote for such a heartless monster that is devoid of empathy. The question in this case would be if there is someone else running against him that is worth voting for?
If he’s the only name on the ballot for that office, then that’s an easy decision to write-in Adam Gaza.
If there is someone (or more than one) running against him, usually the only candidate who may have a chance against him is the Democratic nominee (DNC & GOP candidates are usually the most funded).
Is that Democratic opponent worth voting for? Did that Democratic candidate say anything regarding Palestinian civilians? Or did that Democratic candidate try to outdo the Republican on who is more subservient to Israel?
If the latter, then it is a necessary decision to write-in Adam Gaza, even though you know you will end up having the monster “elected”. That is because you have no candidate that is going to represent your values regardless of who “wins” the election. It is a painfully hard but necessary decision.
In that office election, showing a few thousand votes for Adam Gaza would send a powerful political message. Imagine you didn’t like any of the candidates on the ballot, but still took time away from your life and work to go to vote, agreed with others on a name that isn’t listed on the ballot, remembered it and wrote-in that name correctly, in the thousands.
This is one of the most powerful political statements you can make, and it shows the depth of organizing and commitment you have for liberty, peace, and justice.
The genocide that we all witnessed, and the almost complete subservience of the Republicans and the Democrats to Israel’s genocidal campaign against Palestinians, goes against America’s interests and security, in addition, of course, to being immoral, illegal, unconstitutional, and criminal.
Writing-in Adam Gaza (when there’s no candidate worth supporting) is the best organized way to force the political parties and their candidates to rethink their positions. Let them know that genocide is a redline and that they can’t take you for granted anymore.
The Adam Gaza write-in campaign is a political movement, a force for peace and justice to rival the war hawks and genocidal maniacs whose masks have fallen since October 7.
Having the official election results show a large number of write-in votes for Adam Gaza would send an immensely strong message across the political spectrum.
It would be even more powerful if Adam Gaza make certain candidates lose their election (i.e., politically punishing candidates) for their shameful immoral position on the genocide. That is one of the strongest political powers. With an actual genocide taking place, this is the strongest political move you can take to stop it.
War hawks and genocide enablers have punished and silenced those calling for peace and justice for so long. They also made some elected officials who were calling for peace and justice lose their seats.
Reclaim that power and use it for the good of the people, for peace and justice, for ending this genocide and other wars of aggression.
Politically punishing elected officials and candidates who are silent on or supporting the genocide will make every candidate in the future think twice before taking such a cowardly immoral position.
A strong showing for Adam Gaza would force political parties to rethink their candidates and their positions on the genocide taking place now in Gaza.
This is a reason to register to vote and to actually go to vote.
If genocide is not a red line for us, and we still vote for such candidates, what are we telling them? There must be consequences and accountability.
A significant vote tally for Adam Gaza, a candidate that is not pre-printed on the ballot, will send shockwaves across the political spectrum.
It will document the sentiment of the electorate and their displeasure with the policies and practices of the political parties and their candidates regarding Gaza and Palestine.
It is an amazingly powerful tool and message because it is already ridiculously hard to get people to register to vote, and to get voters to actually go to vote.
It is not an easy task to get a large number of people to go to vote and remember a name that is not pre-printed on the ballot and record it correctly. That is why it will be huge when it happens.
This is the time to send such a strong message. Do not let the fear tactics of a bad opponent scare you from doing what is right.
Protests and rallies against the genocide may be ignored or lied about by the media regardless of the large numbers, but a large number of votes for Adam Gaza recorded in official government documents (election results) cannot be easily ignored or lied about.
Share this campaign with as many people as you can.
That is the goal for future elections after 2024, to actually compete and win elections using write-in campaigns, outside of the closed process the two parties use to stifle public opinion and sentiment on issues.
We are using this moment in history to educate people of good conscience on how the system works and mobilize them to use the system for good instead of the business as usual that has been taking place for so long.
Moreover, in order for the effort to be successful and to make a strong statement, there needs to be a large number of votes for a certain name.
The point is to get a large number of votes for Adam Gaza to amplify our voices and send a message to the political class that is currently ignoring or aiding a genocide.
For a write-in campaign to be successful, and for the message to be powerful, a large number of write-ins must happen. That requires a large number of people to know and agree to write that person’s name. Each locality can organize and do that with real people in the future. For now, let us make a strong statement against the genocide by writing-in Adam Gaza.
There are always those with a personal stake in the status quo, whether for personal gain or out of ignorance, arrogance, or spite.
The GOP and DNC are already panicking from losing their grip on the political process, similar to what social media did to traditional media. They will use scare tactics, lies, and deceit to keep you beholden to them.
We expect this to continue. Maybe they would call us Russian agents. They will try to do everything to discredit this effort. Always come back to this page to ground yourself in the principles and values behind this project.
If you have two candidates during a genocide and neither of them are speaking up against the atrocities or calling for ceasefire, do you really have a better candidate?
If despite genocide, the two candidates are either silent or openly supporting these atrocities, are you really going to vote for one because the other is more evil?
The concept of voting for the lesser evil led us directly to this situation. For so long, we have allowed the political establishment to corner us into this mindset to the extent that we normalized evil.
Many voted for Biden to get rid of the evil of Trump. Biden is now bypassing Congress to send more bombs to Israel, aiding and abetting genocide.
What message are you sending to the “lesser evil” candidate if they are silent on these atrocities and you still vote for them? Why would they ever fear they may lose your vote if even genocide did not make you withhold it from them?
There is no lesser evil when it comes to something like this.
It may happen on a rare occasion that the majority of people would be so angry at the other choices that they make Adam Gaza the highest vote getter. But since Adam Gaza is a symbolic character, the candidate next in the number of votes would be the one elected.
If that happens, though, it would be the highest form of success for the Adam Gaza campaign. The message would be louder and more powerful. The political class cannot ignore that.
Slogans such as “Free Palestine” usually do not get tabulated and reported in the official results. For the write-in to be tabulated and reported in the official results, it should be a person’s name, even if symbolic. Mickey Mouse appears in most presidential official election results.
No. There are some elected officials and candidates that people of good conscience would want to be in office.
If you have a candidate that didn’t take cowardly or immoral positions on the genocide, then maybe they are worthy of your vote.
But if all candidates for a certain office are silent on the genocide while, for example, voicing support for sending more weapons to Israel, then it is your duty to write-in Adam Gaza and encourage others to do so.
Reach out to us if you need help figuring out the candidates in your district.
Many thought that voting for Biden was to get rid of the evil of Trump. Look at what we have now: Biden is supporting the genocide. He has opposed ceasefire. He has repeated fake stories about atrocities and refused to back down when presented with the evidence. He has doubted the number of civilians killed which emboldened the genocidal maniacs to double down on their atrocities. He bypassed Congress to send more bombs to Israel while it is committing genocide. And he ordered his Administration to shield Israel in the UN Security Council by using the Veto power.
Each state has a separate election for President. In reality though, the real presidential general election in November takes place only in swing states. A “swing states” is one where the margin of difference between the top two candidates for president is so small that the state could swing in either way. In 2024, there are about seven swing states. The other forty-three states are almost a done deal. For example, New York is a done deal for Democrats because of the political dynamics, the number of registered Democrats vs Republicans, the history of voting for President, etc. Whoever the Democratic candidate for president is, they will most likely win NY. But in Kentucky, whoever the Republican nominee for President is, they will most likely win Kentucky. So, the real competition for the Presidential election is kind of limited to those swing states. If you are voting in one of the forty-three non-swing states, you have no reason to fear that you will change the results and should write-in Adam Gaza in large numbers.
That said, in 2024, even in the swing states, it is the moral, principled position that people of good conscience should make Biden lose the election because of how he enabled and supported this genocide. Otherwise, what message are we sending politicians? If you vote for Biden, you would be telling politicians they can support genocide and still get your vote. This is your opportunity to be effective. If they get away with a genocide, what will they get away with next? Speak up now for peace and justice.
For the Presidential primaries of the GOP and the DNC, there are NO candidates worth voting for. Write-in Adam Gaza in the primaries.
For the general election, we urge you to vote for Dr. Cornel West if he’s on the ballot. If he’s not and Dr. Jill Stein is on the ballot, then vote for her. If neither are on the ballot, then write-in Adam Gaza.
We will update this if things change from the time of this update (February 2024).
Of course they would say that. They can’t really say anything else. Do you expect them to go against their party? They would be pariahs and potentially lose their seats. This is a testament to the corruption of the system and to the necessity of the Adam Gaza campaign this year.
It would be bad, really bad. But we have to be honest with ourselves. Is the Democrat, Tom Suozzi, any better in his support for Israel’s aggression and milking of American taxpayer’s money? Would he be any less hawkish when it comes to sending weapons to Israel’s criminal military? We hope he changes his immoral, unprincipled positions, but the historical record says he was no less hawkish, to the extent that AIPAC didn’t endorse either candidate in this race.
The following is specifically for the special election for Congressional District 3 in NY to replace George Santos:
